Reading Society Crompton Library_Logo Design

This logo design project was created for a personal friend of mine. This project was a quick 2 day project, so there is no process, as I literally sketched out few ideas to the client and she chose her favourite for digital reproduction.

The client wanted a logo to represent her Reading Club at the community library she works at. She is also the lead organizer of the Reading Society. The Reading Society is a once a week gathering by the community members who read, review and discuss books. They also participate in writing their own short stories and sharing amongst the group members.

The client required a simple iconic logo which looks Modern, Established, Elegant, Friendly and Welcoming.

The use of Baskerville Serif font was used to resemble'Established'. The icon represents the 'Modern'. The nib of a ink pen portrays the 'Elegance'. The circle dot in the nib is replaced by a simple shape of an open book so the icon represents 'Friendly' and 'Welcoming' feel.
